Dubai is the largest and most populous city in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Dubai has emerged as a global city and business center of the Middle East. Until the 1960s, Dubai's economy was only driven by business. Until 1966 oil was not discovered in Dubai. In the year 1969, oil revenues began for the first time in Dubai.
Where once Dubai's revenue rely solely on oil, today only 5 percent of Dubai's total revenue comes from oil trading. Dubai has touched new dimensions of progress and development in a short span of time.
